Update on LIMITATIONS FOR TRAVELLING TO GUATEMALA FROM THE UNITED KINGDOM

Updated 25 May

In order to protect the health and well-being of the inhabitants of Guatemala, the Government has taken measures to control the import of new strain/variant of coronavirus to the country.

Foreign travellers who have been in the United Kingdom, South Africa or Brazil in the preceding 14 days, will be restricted from boarding Guatemala-bound flights. The ban is in place until further notice.

Exemptions apply to those who have received two Covid-19 vaccine doses, Guatemalans, permanent residents, Diplomats and crew members.

Those who have travelled within the last 14 days may enter Guatemala but will have to undergo a 10-day quarantine.

The restriction will apply to land, air and sea borders and will be in force until new provisions from the Guatemalan authorities take place.

Flight restrictions and measures are constantly being updated so we recommend contacting your airline before you travel.
